", "\nABSTRACT\nThis research examines the synergistic influence of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure on green innovation (GI) within Romanian small and medium‐sized industrial enterprises. In light of growing regulatory requirements and the transformation toward a sustainable economy, the study explores how responsible corporate governance promotes ecological innovation processes. Theoretically, the research is based on the natural resource‐based view and stakeholder theory, which consider CSR as a strategic resource and ESG disclosure as a legitimacy‐building communication tool. The empirical analysis is based on data from 317 Romanian SMEs and is conducted using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS‐SEM). The results show that CSR and ESG disclosure each have a significant positive influence on GI. Furthermore, ESG disclosure exhibits a substantial mediating effect between CSR and GI. The novelty of this study lies in the first‐time combination of these constructs in the setting of a transition economy. It provides both theoretical insights and practical implications for sustainability‐oriented innovation strategies in emerging markets such as Romania.\n"]
